Association for Science in Autism Treatment The ASAT was established in 1998, and is a non-profit organization of parents and professionals. The mission of the ASAT is to provide accurate and scientifically-sound information about autism and autism interventions. Website: http://www.asatonline.org/ National Autism Center (NAC) The NAC is a center of the May Institute. Their goal is to promote evidence-based practice for all ages of people on the autism spectrum. In 2009, the NAC completed the National Standards Project, which provides a set of standards for effective and research-supported educational interventions for children with autism. Website: http://www.nationalautismcenter.org/ The National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders (NPDC) The NPDC is a collaboration between multiple universities to promote evidence-based practice for students with autism. The three university sites are the FPG Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the M.I.N.D. Institute at University of California at Davis Medical School, and the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
